Itineraries or mentions are not contemplated in this degree; however, studies can be configured according to three different modalities:
a) Major / Minor modality
It combines advanced training in Spanish language and literature with the study of a second discipline that will lead to a mention in the European Diploma Supplement.
b) Major plus mode
It is indicated to deepen more in the studies of Spanish language and literature by taking an optional specialization module.
c) Mixed modality
It is done through a combination of complementary modules to take the optional subjects.

Credit transfer and recognition:
It consists of the acceptance by a university of the credits that were obtained in an official education, in the same or in another university, and that are computed in other different education for the purposes of obtaining an official degree.
It implies that in the official academic documents accrediting the successive teachings for each student, the totality of the credits obtained in official teachings taken previously, at the same or at another university, that have not led to the obtaining of an official degree, will be included.

Recognition of university activities and transversal competences of the usc:
Students will be able to obtain up to a maximum of 12 optional credits for the recognition of the activities contemplated in article 12.8 of RD 1393/2007 and of the transversal competences of the USC. Cross-cutting competences for all USC Master's degrees are considered instrumental knowledge of (1) foreign languages; (2) Galician language, and (3) information and communication technologies. In any case, the maximum number of recognizable credits for the activities of article 12.8 of RD 1393/2007 will be 6.Professional outingsThe teaching profile is the majority among current graduates, who, in any case, in order to develop this activity in secondary education, must complete the specific postgraduate training established. Within this area, the teaching of Spanish as a foreign language, to immigrants, permanent education and adult training, or the teaching of Spanish Language, Literature and Culture in foreign Centers and Universities can be added.
Additionally, there are prefiles associated with professional activities related to the publishing world and the press, such as text editing, literary and textual criticism, editorial production, proofreading, advice, translation, writing and collaboration. in the media, etc., as well as those related to the language industries, especially in the field of new technologies, and also in other areas such as linguistic mediation (intercultural, business, interprofessional) or the treatment of multiculturalism social or cross-cultural relationships.
Other professional opportunities may be: linguistic advice (commercial, legal, forensic, technical-professional), judicial expertise in forensic linguistics, intervention and evaluation of language pathologies, cultural and artistic management and language policy and planning. Along with them, it is possible to place linguistic and literary research in Spanish and foreign universities, in Institutes of Philology and Linguistics or in archives and libraries and, of course, the teaching of Spanish Grammar, Linguistics, Literary Theory and Spanish Literature in Higher Schools, Universities and other organizations, such as the Cervantes Institutes.
