What is Mechanical Engineering?
Engineering promotes solutions in the transformation of energy for jobs where the motor capacity of people is not enough, it is constituted as a discipline of high projection necessary in the implementation of solutions to sensitive problems of societies.
Why study Mechanical Engineering?
For the creation and sustainability of new manufacturing companies, as well as the strengthening of existing ones, all aimed at supporting the nation's competitiveness in the face of demanding and changing markets.
For its great contribution in the generation of new knowledge, both technological and scientific, becoming a scenario that encourages applied research in various areas, promoting in turn disciplines such as bioengineering, mechatronics, materials science, production engineering , product design and control engineering.
Values ​​such as flexibility, interdisciplinarity and systemic thinking allow its professionals to venture into many other areas with great success.
The student of Mechanical Engineering of the Universidad EIA must carry out their learning process in person, supported by the use of information and communication technology tools as a complement to the classes and as mediators of the learning process.
The methodology of active learning is developed where the student acquires and values ​​knowledge as an experience, involving it in the solution of problems, debates, experimentation, case studies, proposing solutions, and so on.
The face-to-face classes are developed with the guidance of a teacher under a reflective and proactive environment, in which the student can interact with classmates to solve mechanical engineering problems.
At different levels of the curricular plan, the student has subjects aimed at the recognition of the engineering method for the solution and execution of projects, in which the contents developed during the different subjects of the same level are evidenced in a practical way.
In addition to the classical courses of the mechanical engineering programs traditionally offered, this plan includes the development of skills for the models and numerical simulations of phenomena involved in the different mechanical systems that involve the processes of energy transformation and / or movement.
Thanks to the institutional agreements, the student can participate in international exchanges for the strengthening of a second language and / or specific subjects contemplated as optional within the plan. It also has a semester of special projects, in which you can develop an approach, either nationally or internationally, for the development of your business practice, research project or entrepreneurship. Internally, the student has the possibility of interacting with the different programs of the institution, which can strengthen not only the interdisciplinary communication skills, but also the concepts and skills of an area of ​​common interest.
