Introduction

The Degree in Architecture Studies Which is taught is the only degree of the Galician University System that, after passing the Master in Architecture, will allow you to practice as an ARCHITECT.

Order EDU 2075/2010 updates the training itinerary for the exercise of the regulated profession of Architect.

Extinuous itineraries: Architect plan 1995 (5 years + PFC). Graduated in Architecture plan 2010 (6 years). Updated course: Degree in Architecture Studies (5 years) + Master in Architecture (1 year) The aim of the title "Graduated in Architecture Studies" is the acquisition by the student of a specialized multidisciplinary, acquisition-oriented training Of the knowledge and skills necessary for architecture and land management, which will also allow access to the Master's Degree in Architecture, an enabling qualification to practice the regulated profession of Architect.

The passing of this degree qualification is an inescapable requirement for access to the Master's Degree in Architecture, which professionally qualifies the student as an Architect, a profession regulated by the European Directive 2013/55 / ​​EU on the recognition of professional qualifications. In addition, this degree will allow the graduate access to doctoral studies as it is a Degree whose duration exceeds 300 ECTS credits.

What is learned

The title of Degree in Studies of Architecture does not qualify for any regulated profession, but it is an academic requirement for access to the Official Master's Degree in Architecture, which is the qualification for the exercise of the regulated profession of Architect, according to what Indicated in Order EDU / 2075/2010, of July 29, which establishes the requirements for the verification of the official university degrees that qualify for the exercise of the regulated profession of Architect.

Recommended profile

The recommended admission profile is that of the student who has passed the university entrance exam, having completed the Bachelor's degree in the technical scientific modality, with a good training in mathematics, physics and computer science, humanistic training especially in the history of art and knowledge Basic spatial representation systems and design fundamentals; Capacity for graphic ideation, spatial vision and aptitude for artistic creation.

The profile of access to the volunteer training itinerary in English, offered in the degree of Graduate in Architecture Studies by the University of A Coruña, has to be complemented by the previous accreditation of the level of linguistic competence B1 established in the European common framework In this language.

Common access requirements

In order to request a place, one of the following access requirements established in art. 2 of RD 1892/2008:

  • To be in possession of the title of Bachillerato, or equivalent, and to pass the Test of Access to the University (PAU)
  • Comply with the requirements for access to the university in the educational systems of member states of the European Union or other states with which Spain has signed international agreements in this area.
  • Have passed the University Access Test for over 25 years, or have it passed, in the University System of Galicia, according to previous regulations.
  • Have passed the university entrance test for those over 45 years.
  • Possess a title of superior technician of professional formation, teachings of plastic arts and design or superior technical technician, or equivalent titles.
  • Possess an official university degree, a degree from correspondents to the previous order of university education (graduate, graduate, engineer, etc.) or equivalent degrees.
  • To be able to access the university according to educational orders prior to that established by Royal Decree 1892/2008, of November 14, not contemplated in the previous sections.
