Reviewed by MEC with Note 4, the course enables students to develop projects, operate industries, develop new products and chemical processes and enable production with the improvement of a chemical or biochemical process. The chemical engineer is a professional who can participate in all stages in the chemical industry, from designing the project, to the final product, but also in research and in socio-environmental issues.

Since its inception in 2010 the course of Chemical Engineering CETIQT SENAI aims to keep up with market needs. From 2013, with new grille, the course presents an even greater focus on training Engineer, increasing the workload of specific disciplines.

The aim of the course is to train general practitioners with a solid grounding in the basic sciences as physics, chemistry, mathematics and biology and are able to design, supervise, preparation and coordination of various natures processes.

The student carries out practical activities in the laboratory, studying basic theoretical contents of Engineering (Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics) and specific content (Unit Operations, Transport Phenomena, thermodynamics, etc.). Thus, the graduate is qualified to work in areas such as project management and industrial production as well as the Environmental area.

The differential graduation in Chemical Engineering, Faculty SENAI CETIQT is its integration with the Chemical and Textile Industry of Rio de Janeiro and Brazil.
