This course has been designed by Ca’ Foscari University as a cutting-edge program of study entirely taught in English. Its interdisciplinarity brings together the teaching of philosophy, economics and international studies in the unique context of Italian academic environment, and is intended to align itself with similar courses at European level. The program is patterned after the Philosophy, Politics, Economics (P.P.E.) degree taught at Oxford. A number of departments and Ca’ Foscari’s new International College are involved in the teaching and management of the course. This course enables students to acquire basic knowledge in the three main subjects of philosophy, economics and international studies, analytic and critical skills to approach topics and domains of inquiry in an interdisciplinary way, and awareness of the practical implications that studying philosophy, economics and international studies has for the understanding of the world we live in.

Admission is limited to 130 places.
In addition to a successful outcome of the admission test, a previous suitable background is required. Furthermore, a certified knowledge of English at a minimum B2 level is required.
This Bachelor's degree programme trains graduates who can analyse and interpret social, political and economic phenomena with a multi-disciplinary approach and at various levels: through logical-philosophical foundations, through familiarity with international reality and the cultures of various countries and through the instruments of economic sciences for the analysis of a macroeconomic context, market behaviours and of economic factors.
