The digital transformation is rapidly changing economic and social scenarios and is deeply redefining business models and the competitive context in which businesses operate. That’s why H-CAMPUS offers a Bachelor’s Degree (BA) in Digital Management. This three-year degree course is conducted by Ca’ Foscari University of Venice in collaboration with H-FARM Education.
The bachelor’s degree course, the first in Italy dedicated to Digital Management, is conducted completely in English and aims to educate a selective group of highly-motivated students in the new skills that today’s businesses are looking to successfully integrate into their processes and products. This course is product of a partnership between Ca’ Foscari University and H-FARM, within the top 20 European (and the first in Italy) business accelerators, and allows students to study in close contact with the businesses being incubated in H-FARM, using innovative didactic methodology that has already been experimented in past years at Ca’ Foscari’s Management Department, sharing the startup projects in H-FARM and developing new entrepreneurial activities.
The three-year degree course is conducted entirely in English and provides the necessary skills for leveraging the opportunities and changes that the current digital transformation has brought to the economics and management sectors. This degree course guides students on a path towards becoming dynamic and innovative individuals who are able to smartly utilize innovation in order to become the next generation of business executives that will be able to re-think and revolutionize professional and economic systems.
Contents The bachelor’s degree program is designed to educate students through a new and highly collaborative learning experience, one in which interdisciplinary academic lessons are integrated with direct experimentation in the field, teamwork activities and project work.
The student will not only participate in software project development laboratories but can also develop a personal project through an internship with one of the over 200 innovative businesses in the H-FARM and Ca’ Foscari networks.
During the first year, the student will learn the fundamentals of management and the digital world from an economic and business standpoint. The aim is to build knowledge of business management principles: accounting and budgeting techniques, microeconomic theory for businesses, mathematical and statistical methods required for the digital transformation and the legal basis of the digital economy.

During the second year, the focus is on technical and operational skills, both computer-based and managerial: e-commerce digital marketing strategies, information security management, and the organization of digital businesses, spanning the financing of startups to the digital transformation of established businesses, the management of information systems and interaction design.

In the third part of the course, students will have the possibility to work within a company in the digital sector, which allows them to put into practice their acquired skills and the opportunity to create a business project work. The students will also have the opportunity to participate in hackathons in which they will see the real-life financing of the best ideas, which will then be accelerated in the business incubator of H-FARM.

Method The course doesn’t solely focus on the technical skills that are on the frontier of digital management, but also pays particular attention to the students’ transversal skills, which represent an important factor for their professional future. Throughout the three-year course, students will learn to recognize their personal skill set and can develop their own learning agenda, in order to acquire knowledge with a proactive spirit, as well as autonomy, good judgement, empathy, communication and negotiation skills, leadership – all of which will allow the student to decipher the needs of a business and concretely put in to practice their technical knowledge in developing innovative entrepreneurial projects.
