Bachelor in Textile

On Textile we train professionally sound partners who are able to engage in teamwork that goes beyond the subject's own borders - for example to the industry, architects, fashion industry and others who work with active and visual narratives.

For the same reason, students should be able to reflect their time and its complexity. Without an understanding of time paradoxes it is not possible to communicate relevant and timely matter. This is achieved by selecting students who are on the road and show a clear attitude towards their environment. And it strengthened by entering a department with a broad range of guest teachers who master their profession.

The discipline involves an ethical aspect in relation to the stories that are being created, the responsibility for the resources that come with designing for industrial production.


Academic content

Textile subject's core business is fiber materials, tactility, structure, ornamentation and color. In order to work with textile design, it is necessary to develop the ability to record and process the textile professional core disciplines. A textile designer mastered the ability to solve current design problems within any given surface.

A textile designer's professional activities include process from idea generation to final product / design. At the Department of Fashion and Textile is the textile technical specialist directions weaving, knitting and textile printing.
