It differs from interpretation in that it is specific to written documents, while interpretation involves communicating messages or words that are spoken.

Higher education system in Oman is done in the five common international languages namely English, French, Spanish Portuguese and Chinese among other languages. This has eliminated the issue of language barriers in these higher education institutions among other international students.

A bachelor's degree is given to students who fulfill the necessary requirements given by the college or university they are attending. The requirements include three to seven years of focus on a subject, typically referred to as a major or concentration.
