The development direction of this degree program is to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of digital content in order to cope with the rapid changes and future needs of the information age. The course will provide a complete introduction to digital content areas such as network multimedia system design, digital audio and video processing, game design and virtual reality, and digital learning.

Communication is an activity in which people transmit, receive and feedback information through symbols and signals; it is a process in which people exchange opinions, thoughts, and emotions with each other to achieve mutual understanding and influence; the world is full of communication phenomena, but in the process of communication Quality and elements are definitely important factors that influence people's artistic life. In view of this, the curriculum planning of this program is based on aesthetics and humanistic qualities, and strengthens the practical ability of communication arts to cultivate professional talents in the two main axes of "communication marketing" and "film and television media" in response to "internationalization of creation" and "communication The converging trend of the times is "artistic" and "connotative human culture", cultivating talents in the communication and marketing management of news media, as well as the creation and management talents of film and television media and advertising animation.

In 1992, UN claimed that all nations in the world should move to sustainable development in the 21st Century by being friendly to the living environment, this main stream pushes the concept of green living becoming more popular nowadays. Thus, this bachelor program achieves to practically launch the idea of green supply chain: from the green design, green production, to the green markets, services and green management. These efforts will achieve the goal of green living.

The department of Sports Medicine was established in August 2003. The Kaohsiung Medical University has made a substantial commitment to being the leading Sports & Exercise Medicine educator in Taiwan. The course aims to provide students with a comprehensive and contemporary curriculum and is designed to merge medical principles and sciences to facilitate physical performance in sports. Since 2008, the department has featured a new target for future development – “health promotion” with a modern concept of sports & exercise medicine, which emphasizes custom exercises for each individual. Our course offers a full-time four-year Bachelor's degree. The curriculum focuses not only on learning the basics of medical and sports sciences but also on health care management. The basic science of sports medicine is emphasized over the first two years, such as Human Physiology, Anatomy of the Human Body, Health Management, Kinesiology, Exercise Nutrition, and First-Aid. During the final two years, the course provides excellent opportunities in practical training which can be used as a foundation to further students with an aim to either obtain professional certifications e.g. "fitness leader" and "athletic trainer", or future research work. The University has worked closely with professional sports clubs, health institutes, and hospitals, and is responsible for providing a better medical service to southern Taiwan. The course has an important role in merging the various medical disciplines to create a first-class teaching, research, and clinical environment for health promotion in Taiwan.

In the research area, the College of Nursing emphasizes research performance and academic achievement. Our faculty members have led outstanding research projects that were reported in national and international journals and conferences. Over the past 5 years, we have been awarded research grants from various national institutions. In fact, our research paper and academic presentation have a strong track record of published work in top-rated journals. These publications represent sustained and significant contributions to nursing knowledge and evidence-based nursing. Our faculty members are also often invited as editors or reviewers of these national and international journals. Moreover, the College also houses the Research Center of Active Ageing (RCAA), which is a college-leave research center, which is to serve older adults in the community as a daycare center as well as a “smart living lab” for teaching and research. We are involved in active research aiming to develop a holistic care discourse on aging society from the medical, social, cultural, and environmental perspectives. As for international collaborations, the College has maintained strong partnerships with many well-known universities and colleges in the world, as a part of the effort to build up a group of health care specialists with professional knowledge, humanity cultivation, and global competitiveness. In addition to annually hosting an international conference along with frequent mutual visits with sister schools and research collaborations, the College also encourages participation in global practicum and a joint degree in Master Program and Doctoral Program as well as overseas medical services to broaden students’ international horizon. Furthermore, the College not only has a Master’s Program in Nursing. In fact, in 2016 but it also established the Doctoral Program in Nursing, marking a milestone for the College of Nursing at Taipei Medical University.

The goal of the Department of Automation Engineering is to cultivate students to possess technical expertise in the field of mechatronics automation and production technology automation. After educated in the department, students will have the capability of applying automation technology, robot technology, mechatronics practice, and computer integrated manufacturing technology to practical implementation and innovative design. Students who graduated from the department not only can meet the needs of enterprises and industry but also can develop innovative products and acquire patents by themselves. Finally, students can obtain a good job after graduation immediately.

Industrial engineering -deals with the optimization of complex processes or systems. It is concerned with the development, improvement, and implementation of integrated systems of people, money, knowledge, information, equipment, energy, materials, analysis and synthesis, as well as the mathematical, physical and social sciences together with the principles and methods of engineering design to specify, predict, and evaluate the results to be obtained from such systems or processes.

The school is self-positioned as a "high-quality teaching and industry-university linkage dual-oriented university", and aims to "train the backbone of society with professional qualities, innovative thinking, and empathy" as the educational goal. For this reason, the school promotes the "Sunshine Youth Project" to cultivate students to have a balanced development of five educations of virtue (enthusiastic service), wisdom (love and knowledge), physical (strong body), group (sound personality), and beauty (artistic taste). Sunshine Youth; implement the "Innovative Creativity Popularization Education Program" to cultivate students with innovative thinking; provide multiple and cross-field learning channels to broaden students' learning horizons. The major aim of our Department is to educate our students among areas of marine shipping, global logistics, air transportation, cargo management, in hopes of meeting with increasing demands of elites within the industries. Our ultimate goal is to equip our students with both theoretical and practical knowledge by graduation.　 We offer an innovative and diversified learning environment. We also encourage cross-subject studies among the fields of finance, international business, business administration, information management, transportation, and logistics. Students may choose their best combination of courses according to their interests.

The focus of vocational education in the 21st century is on the course of innovation and professional skills. The Department of Fashion Styling’s objective is to provide the students an environment for developing character, knowledge, physical culture, communication, and aesthetics. The Department of Fashion Styling is establishing a new direction for vocational students and a different way of undergraduate learning. The Department of Fashion Styling stresses styling design and integrates classes of certificates, practical training, internship, and image design classes to train students to be well-trained styling designers in all aspects. The Department of Fashion Styling has won 4 gold medals, 7 silver medals and 6 bronze medals in international competitions from 2008 to 2010, also been rewarded “Outstanding Student Award of Technological and Vocational Education” for 3 years.

The Department of Marketing Management was established in 2002, and it has been set in order to meet the need of the both domestic and international industry and economic development. The aim of the department is to develop according to the existing focus of national policy on business trades to advance marketing management concepts and philosophies, high management intellectuals for national enterprises, and undertake academic research. Also, it provides high-quality client responsiveness, internationally focused and industry-linked education, as well as research and commercial services. The curriculum has been developed into the following areas of study: Marketing Planning, Marketing Practice, and Business Logistics. This prepares students to organize and control marketing activities efficiently in a highly competitive and changeable environment.
