The Sports Administration major features the use of two internships to provide experiential learning, a vital ingredient in any Sports Management program.

Since its establishment in 1996, Sport Management has become the largest program in the College of Business.
The Sport Management program has been accredited by the Commission on Sport Management Accreditation (COSMA) for 2014-2021. It is one of only two sport management programs in the U.S. accredited by both COSMA and AACSB International.
You will have the opportunity to work closely with real-world sport organizations on sport marketing projects.
You will gain hands-on experience in event operations, game and tournament management, or sport information services.

The purpose of The University of Tampa Sport Management Major is to provide students with a combination of sport business theory and practical experience to prepare them for a successful career in the sport management industry. There are more than 250 students majoring in sport management.
The curriculum consists of sport management courses as well as courses from the Sykes College of Business and a 12-credit-hour internship with a sport organization. Four full-time faculty members, all of whom have held professional positions in the sport industry, are responsible for teaching all sport management courses (no graduate assistants).
