Safety engineering programs can offer students the opportunity to study and work in different locations around the world. A safety engineering course of study investigates what the safety standards are and how to ensure that equipment operators and their machines meet those standards.

A number of institutions of higher learning have appeared in recent years throughout the Palestinian Territories and the Gaza Strip. Though young, these facilities are able to offer a diverse range of programs to local and international students.

A bachelor's degree is given to students who fulfill the necessary requirements given by the college or university they are attending. The requirements include three to seven years of focus on a subject, typically referred to as a major or concentration.
