One of the key ingredients for the supremacy conquered by Italy in the fashion can no doubt be attributed to the skill of his model makers, the real heart of the planning process that led to the creation of a collection. The pattern is in fact the figure that the company interprets and puts on paper the ideas of the designer, translating a graphic in a project (the pattern) ready to be transferred onto the fabric, a professional able to manage the process that goes from until the tailoring of the prototype. The course promoted by IED Venice aims to train these valuable resources, through a course that relies on a central role in the design, the project, the development of the traditional pattern and the use of CAD technology, techniques tailored to the realization of prototype. For this reason, from an educational point of view, the theoretical disciplines will be supplemented by laboratory activities, guiding the students in acquiring the technical skills necessary to create and get to effectively present its final portfolio.
