Bachelor Programs in Molecular Sciences
Study in molecular sciences can open up many innovative and new scientific fields to pursue, including molecular neuroscience, cytogenetics, molecular genetics, molecular basis of monogenic diseases, molecular virology and immunology, and the molecular basis of complex diseases.
To gain admission into the Nigerian universities (both public and private universities are in every state of the federation including the FCT), a prospective student has to sit for and successfully pass the UME(Universities Matriculation Examination) which is administered by JAMB (Joint Admission and Matriculation Board). Also individual universities regularly screen prospective candidates to make sure they are up to par for university level work in Nigeria.
A bachelor's degree is given to students who fulfill the necessary requirements given by the college or university they are attending. The requirements include three to seven years of focus on a subject, typically referred to as a major or concentration.
