Students wishing to engage with language in a literary, interpretational or entrepreneurial manner might do well to complete a program in modern languages. These curricula often focus on languages of the student's choice, as long as said languages are actively spoken.

The institutions of higher education included regular four-year colleges and universities. Education is taken very seriously in South Korea, and the country is home to several world class universities, many of which have exchange agreements with various foreign universities, and are a good way for foreigners to experience life in the country.

Turkey and five Central Asian countries including Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan located on Eurasian Silk Road have used the same language and formed a single cultural area. The Department of Turkish-Central Asian Languages offers a regional approach to the area to develop Eurasian Vision and also broadens understanding and knowledge of the area. By studying the Turkish-Central Asian language, history, and culture in comparison with or linking to Korean studies, students can develop a humanistic understanding of Turkey-Central Asia, a region with a similar language and culture to Korea. In addition, the Department provides the academic and practical information of the area including politics, society, and economics, and cultivates local management skills through exchange programs with the countries to nurture professionals contributing to Korean and Turkish-Central Asian relations. -
