The Psychology BSc (Hons) is suitable for students with a science or commerce background who are interested in the systematic study of cognition, mind and behaviour. This program is designed to give students an advanced level of understanding of the way that psychological theories and research have influenced our understanding of child and adult learning and teaching in educational settings. The aim is to direct students to develop an appreciation of traditional and contemporary research, knowledge and applications in the domain.

The Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Psychology with Marketing combines a broad education in psychology with a specialist strand to develop an understanding of the theory and practice of marketing (including consumer behavior). Candidates have the opportunity to study psychology as a subject combined with another discipline. This can lead to careers in diverse occupations that do not carry the title ‘psychologist’ because the skills acquired while studying psychology transfer readily to various spheres in the world of work and provide an excellent general education.

The Department of Play Therapy aims at cultivating play therapy specialists to support infants and children having developmental, psychological, cognitive, and behavioral difficulties to overcome their psychological and pathological pain and realize themselves as happy beings. Especially, the problem of maladjusted mental behavior is rising as a big issue in terms of support of mental health in individuals and the whole society, which is being significantly increased. The Department intends to cultivate play therapy specialists whose professionalism gains confidence home and overseas by providing the curriculum through close exchange and collaboration with home & overseas famous play therapy professors and international play therapy societies & clinical institutions in order to support such individual and social mental health problem in ecological, scientific manners of play therapy.

Major in counseling psychology is a major field of psychology in which individuals understand the various difficulties of the mind that people experience such as those concerning individual and family, based on psychological theory and provide effective intervention plan. This major offers theoretical knowledge and practical experience to train counseling professionals in the community.

Psychology is a young and growing study with a high probability of development.
