Bachelor of Science in Land Administration and Development is designed to produce graduates who are competent and knowledgeable in land matters to manage the challenges of a land administration system in the 21st century.

The Petroleum Engineering course was first offered in 1975 by the Petroleum Engineering Department, UTM. Many graduates now work not only in Malaysia but also in many parts of the world.

This course aims at introducing students to the fundamentals of bookkeeping and principles of financial accounting. It explains the accounting equation, identifies steps to complete the accounting cycle and discusses the role of accounting records in an organization. It further explains the differences between cash and accrual accounting, the nature of general purpose financial statements, the role of accounting information in making economic decisions and discusses the significance of accounting systems in providing relevant and reliable information. It also exposes students to financial statement analysis and interpretation of financial ratios.

Software Engineering uses an engineering approach in the development, operation, and maintenance of large-scale software. A software engineer needs to be able to employ systematic technical and management methods in the creation of high-quality software. The Bachelor of Computer Science specializing in Software Engineering is designed to support the nation’s need for professional and capable software engineers to undertake the task of increasing the effectiveness and performance of both the public and private sectors. To further support this goal, the course is closely associated with the Malaysian Software Testing Board (MSTB) certifications and Hewlett-Packard (HP) Software Testing Program.

Chemical engineering is a field that is expanding widely throughout the world. The expertise is greatly needed to fulfill the demand for carrying the task that cannot be performed by the mechanical engineers and chemists. This fields have matured and currently covers many aspects of engineering such as systems design and processing of agricultural products, petroleum and petrochemicals, polymers, pharmaceuticals, bio-fuel, biochemical and many more. In the current state of the world, where resources are limited and sustainable development is a major challenge, the requirement for expertise in chemical engineering is even more crucial.

The programme is mainly designed to meet the different real estate professional needs in the region. From time to time changes were made to the programme to reflect the changing needs of the industry.

Geomatic Engineering is an area of technology for measuring, managing, presentation and analyzing the geospatial data relating the earth. Geospatial data are obtained from various sources including observation of satellites orbiting the earth, sensors that are in the air, sea and terrestrial instruments. These data are processed and manipulated using a computer and latest software's. Also included in the area of geospatial are the computer mapping, remote sensing for monitoring the environment and positioning as well as precise navigation using Global Positioning System (GPS).

The Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) programme, is one of the undergraduate programmes offered by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering (FKE) to prepare graduates for positions as electrical engineers. The programme has been designed to emphasize not only on the understanding and acquisition of basic principles and skills in the field of electrical engineering but also on a wide range of subareas including electronics, control systems, instrumentation, signal processing, telecommunications and power systems.
