The aim of the 3 years-course is to prepare the students to face with skills and sensibility the concrete responsibilities of the profession. That's why during the formation, a significant place is occupied by courses that technically deal with the use of materials and installations, but also the graphic and communicative methods to present and develop the work in a professional way. The courses are organized by thematic areas regarding both drawing and the techniques of representation, the interior design project, the history of architecture related to the morphology of human habitations, technologies and materials. Each course is developed in workshops that link the theoretical lessons to laboratory work providing immediate feedback and verification with teachers. The Interior Design projects, essential for the didactic formation and controls of the collateral topics, are annual or biannual. To the didactic activity, during the year, are integrated with guided visits to: exhibitions, cultural activities, work sites and firms as well as historic buildings of interest to the topics being studied. The course The aim of the three year course in Interior Design is to generate professional figures who are able to apply skills in interpreting and developing projects in the different specialist areas of interiors: residential, projects in retail design, public spaces and exhibition design. The course provides participants with the technical knowledge and understanding to resolve aspects in the construction of spaces, the methodologies to develop a concept proposal through to its correct representation. The approach in the course is creative, artistic, and intuitive as well as technical in design. Starting from the study and analysis of the history and the evolution of interior design thinking, workshop hours will develop the participants’ ability to interpret interior design projects in line with contemporary trends, translating them into a structure that tells the story of the space depicting mood and atmosphere, with technical plans and elevations as well as illustrative interpretations of spaces and emotional mood. Participants will be asked to focus on creative proposals with the goal of responding to the needs of the client in the contemporary market of lifestyle living.
