The curriculum in the Department of Industrial Engineering integrates instruction in the design, operation, and management of systems to optimally organize information, raw materials, machinery/equipment, and human and financial resources. Teaching and research focus on modeling and analyzing production systems and developing optimization theories and techniques to solve problems. The Department also emphasizes system modeling and analysis based on probability theory and the design of computer-aided production management systems. The Bachelor of Science program is fully accredited by the Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (A.B.E.T.).
