An international course The course has a strong international focus, so you get the opportunity to do a work placement in an international environment in your 3rd year. Academic Progress Students can obtain a maximum of 60 ECTS credits (European Credit Transfer System) per academic year. After the first year students must have gained 37.5 ECTS in order not to get a Binding Negative Study Advice (BNSA). First year

The first part of the programme (first semester) starts with an orientation phase, in which you become acquainted with all kinds of jobs in the field of Civil engineering and the graduation variations HZ offers. You get subjects such as construction designing to get an insight in the stability of constructions above and underground. Furthermore, you follow courses such as water management and constructing in and with soil, which are often integrated. You also follow a number of Professional Core courses.
