Construction works is one of the oldest and most needed specialities in the history of humanity, having a long-lived tradition. Civil engineering – totality of the processes, required for design, building, installation and operation of buildings and constructions. Civil engineering analyses theoretical and practical issues of structures, production technology, construction technology or organisation of construction works. One of the essential tasks of contemporary construction works – preparation of fundamentals of digital construction works, which would enable numerical (computer-aided) modelling on separate parts of the building project, as well as their integrated totality. You will acquire knowledge of requirements and methods for design of buildings and constructions, including disciplines of building structures, engineering systems of buildings, production of construction products, and organisation and management or construction works. You will be able to design various parts and systems of buildings, find solutions for various construction tasks, evaluate efficiency and optimality of solutions.
