The specialization Econometrics and Data Science will help you to develop an integrated perspective into statistical data analysis and econometric modelling with the purpose of supporting policy and decision making in economics, finance and marketing. You will learn to think analytically and gain a balanced overview of diverse and interconnected issues on collecting, analyzing, modelling and predicting data. You will further learn how to extract and visualize information from data and how to present your findings, results and conclusions.STRUCTURE OF THE PROGRAMME
In the first year of the specialization in Econometrics and Data Science, the focus is on providing you with a mathematical background, key programming skills, and foundations in probability and statistics. We also offer introductory courses in data science, economics, finance and ethics. The second year is truly focused on Econometrics and Data Science with introductory and intermediate courses in numerical methods, econometrics, data science. Throughout the first two years of the Bachelor, several data science cases need to be carried in groups. During the first semester of the third year the student follows a Minor programme; our recommendation is the minor Applied Econometrics: a Big Data Challenge for All.
