Earning a bachelor's degree is achieved by completing the necessary course of study offered by the college or university you enroll in. Completing this study may take three to seven years depending on where you seek your degree.

Graduates of a Bachelor in Economics will be able to analyse in-depth circumstances surrounding the realm of Macroeconomics or Microeconomics. These two areas cover subjects such as fiscal policy, inflation, pricing, consumers or markets. This knowledge allows graduates to perform in different positions, in all the industries within the private and the public sector.

For a couple of years Azerbaijan has improved their higher education system by improving education level in several universities to international standards. There is also improved students relationship where some of the courses are offered in international languages like English, Chinese and Spanish.

Being the capital of Azerbaijan, Baku hosts several, colleges, vocational schools and universities. Many learning centres have been coming up nonetheless; the older institutions such as Baku State University still have the largest student population.

Criticisms of globalization are also discussed. The main goal of the course is to build up the understanding of the theory and policy of the contemporary global economics. It further analyzes particular market structures characterized by perfect and imperfect competition, reviews the strengths and weaknesses of a market economy, and considers the government's role in correcting market failures and promoting competition. The macroeconomic portion studies the domestic and international forces that govern the determination of the aggregate level of economic activity, and pays particular attention to the determinants of long-run economic growth and stabilization policies used to dampen business cycles. The course concludes with global issues including the determinants of trade, trade policy, capital mobility, international financial instability, and international economic integration and the extent of globalization. Construction – Economy Faculty History As the Construction Faculty was the biggest one (about 5,000 students), by the decision of Scientific Council of the Institute it divided into two parts: “Construction I” and “Construction II”. In 1991 the name of “Construction II” was renamed as “Construction - Economy” by the decree of Institute’s Scientific Council. There were two specializations fields in the “Construction – economy” Faculty: “Industry and civil - construction” “Construction economy and management” “Construction economy and organization” specialty was firstly created within the “Construction” Faculty of Azerbaijan Polytechnic Institute in 1964. Later this specialty was renamed “Construction economy and management”. First dean of the faculty docent of “Construction mechanics” was Aliyev Telman Khurshud oglu. He was elected twice to dean position, guided the faculty between 1990 – 2000 years. Since 2000 the dean of the faculty was docent of “Construction Economy”, honored teacher Mammadova Nazima. During 2000 – 2011 years docent Mammadova N. N. was elected twice to dean position. By the decree of the President the Republic of Azerbaijan bestowed an honored teacher title on Mammadova Nazima Nagi gizi in 2006. At present the dean of the Faculty is docent of “Service areas’ economy and management” Garibov Rahad Tanriverdi oglu.
