Bachelors in Costume Design in Europe 2017. On this course, students will create garment and accessory designs, devise ready-to-wear and “designer” collections, and present them at catwalk shows and show rooms, in front of professionals. Thanks to a teaching staff made up of recognised professionals in the fashion industry, and numerous partnerships with prestigious companies in fashion design, LISAA is widely renowned, notably by the Ministry of Culture and Communications. LISAA is also ranked as the fourth private fashion school preferred by professionals (L’Étudiant 2015). STATE-REGISTERED QUALIFICATION The Fashion Design and Pattern Making course takes place over three years after high school or over two years following a foundation course (MANAA) or an Introductory Course in Applied Arts. Graduates are awarded a qualification in Fashion Design and Pattern Making, listed on level 2 (FR), 6 (EU), NSF 242n of the French Register of Professional Certifications (RNCP), decree of 25th February 2016 published in the official journal of 17th March 2016. Students can join in at the beginning of every year (1st, 2nd or 3rd year). Textile Production is a bachelor degree study field in the frame of study programme Specialization in Pedagogy, organized in the full-time form of study. Profile of graduates and their prospective employment: Graduates of Textile Arts and Design have been trained in designing and creating original textiles, especially fashion and interior textiles. Graduates can be employed as teachers of these subjects at primary schools and secondary schools specialized in Arts and Design. Graduates can also work as artists, tutors in educative centres, lecturers of traditional textile techniques. The artistic career of graduates can be realized in the following posts: designers in the textile industry, independent textile artists and designers, members of teams of fashion and textile designers. Organization of studies: Autumn/Winter term: 13 weeks from 3rd week of September + examination period Spring/Summer term: 13 weeks from 2nd week of February + examination period Admission procedure: Application deadline: 30th June (for starting studies in September) Completing of secondary school studies (the applicant must provide a certificate to prove that, previous studies focused on textile arts and design are preferred). Applicants have to pass talent tests aimed at their artistic talent, craftsmanship, sense of space and different materials.
