The Degree provides the critical mind food for students to tackle the business challenges of the global entertainment industry. During the final year of study students explore entrepreneurship, film and television production management, international touring principles, online business systems, international licensing and branding, and major festival events management. Assessable projects focus on industry best practice but are extended to include festival proposals, feasibility studies, touring plans, research projects, licensing and brand alignments, and the establishment of online business ventures. A core focus of the Degree is based on professional development; the conduit between knowledge and the delivery of these concepts to industry. Students embark upon a self-devised research project and/ or an industry engagement program under the ongoing mentorship of their lecturers. Acute industry awareness, strong networking skills and the development of a strategic career path are the desired outcomes of this stage. What Career will this course prepare me for?
