A bachelor’s degree is a post-secondary degree awarded after completed 120 credits. It usually takes eight semesters to complete a Bachelor’s degree. While completing an undergraduate course, candidates have to study general courses and chose a major specific subject. A Bachelor’s degree can also be called a baccalaureate in certain countries.

Our Bachelor of Business Studies is a ‘designer degree’, giving you the flexibility to study a wide range of subjects, including humanities and science subjects, alongside your business subjects to provide the knowledge and skills you’ll need in your workplace or future career. CSU also has a generous credit system to recognise your previous study. Subject to university approval, you can use your diploma or Certificate IV qualification to reduce the length and cost of your course. If your plans change along the way, you can exit the degree with an Associate Degree in Business Studies after completing 16 subjects or with a Diploma in Business Studies after completing eight subjects. The Bachelor of Business Studies is available on campus in Albury-Wodonga, Bathurst, Port Macquarie and Wagga Wagga; at Study Centres in Sydney and Melbourne; online; through partnership arrangement at Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT) and Northern Sydney Institute of TAFE (NSI); and in four locations in China. Why study this course? Reasons for studying the Bachelor of Business Studies at CSU: you can choose from a comprehensive range of business and non-business subjects. Study up to one-third of your subjects in a non-business area if you are a school leaver who is unsure which business specialisation you want to pursue, you can study a range of subjects in the Bachelor of Business Studies before transferring into another more specialised CSU business degree. You can also transfer from a specialist business degree back to the Bachelor of Business Studies develop both your business and lateral thinking skills. Subject choice You'll have the flexibility to select the subjects you wish to study, with the only requirements being the completion of one Indigenous unit, one strategy subject, no more than 12 level 1 subjects and at least four level 2 and four level 3 subjects. Credit and pathways Applicants who have successfully completed a relevant Certificate IV, Diploma or Advanced Diploma at TAFE may be eligible for credit of up to four subjects (Certificate IV), up to eight subjects (Diploma) or up to 12 subjects (Advanced Diploma) into this course. Credit for prior learning or study at other higher education institutions will be assessed as part of the application process and will be granted to eligible applicants.
