Psychology is the science of the mind and behavior. It is a multifaceted discipline embracing all aspects of the human experience, and as such prepares students for employment in a variety of areas including mental health, human resources, education, research, and law enforcement. It attempts to investigate the causes of behavior using systematic and objective procedures for observation, measurement and analysis, backed-up by theoretical interpretations, generalizations, explanations and predictions. Therefore, it can help people achieve insights into their own actions and as well as a better understanding of others. The Psychology Program offers a good theoretical basis in psychology and developing basic skills in assessment, treatment and intervention to identify appropriate ways of solving psychological problems. The principal is to first understand and explore the biological processes at the cellular level, then correlate this knowledge with different fields of engineering, and finally implement solutions in the industry and technology. Genetics and bioengineering is broadly applicable and used in biomedicine, biotechnology as well as other related fields. Bioengineers are primarily oriented to the application of methods and techniques in the field of engineering and problems in biology and medicine. The primary use of the biotechnology is based on the design and development of new devices, production of new biomaterials, artificial tissues and organs, as well as development and production of pharmaceuticals. Practical work throughout the course is commonly associated with the ongoing projects at Research and Development Center (RDC) or being conducted in other institutions and companies that IUS has an agreement on cooperation. Electrical and Electronics Engineering program covers subjects in applied sciences and mathematics, electronics, control theory, telecommunications and electromagnetism, as well as design, analysis, optimization and management of practical engineering systems. This program rests on broad-based engineering education with specialization, self-learning and development. In addition to the program courses, basic principles of economics, management and social sciences are also included in the curriculum. Our philosophy is not only to educate engineers, but to prepare them for future leadership roles in the industry. Practical training in engineering includes practical work in laboratories (Electronics, Complex Systems, Control Systems, Power Systems and Telecommunications), developing skills in programming and the use of computers in engineering practice, as well as development of the spirit and an affinity for teamwork and lifelong learning. I cycle program: Sarajevo Business School (In cooperation with Griffith College Dublin)The School of Economics and Business Sarajevo (SEBS) and Griffith College Dublin (GCD) provide a linked programme of study leading to the award of BA (Hons) Business Studies. Students will initially complete two years business studies in SEBS. On successful completion of these studies, and having achieved the required prior learning, students will progress directly to the final year of Griffith College's BA in Business Studies in Dublin. The linked programme provided by the prestigious institutions will be held in the English language and guided by the best professors from both insitutions and other international guest lecturers. This is the first international programme in Bosnia and Herzegovina organized by two well respected institutions. Other programs offered in our country do not have the backing of equal and respected institutions, and most lack full time professors, using instead retired professors, teaching assistants and part time lecturers. Also, SEBS and GCD provide programmes in International Business at MSc and MBA levels. These programmes prepare graduates for the world of international business by providing an educational experience which is strongly vocational, academically rigorous and intellectually challenging - a key stepping stone to a career in international business management.
