The International Frontiers in Life Science Program (Spring Semester) offers to 20 Bachelor students the opportunity to study with an interdisciplinary approach in life science. This international semester aims to gather students in their senior year of Bachelor from foreign universities in the world to experience project-based learning in an interdisciplinary and stimulating international setting. The purpose of teaching in an interdisciplinary way The FDV bachelor was created in 2011 with the aim to teach interdisciplinary approaches to life science through research-based teaching and innovative pedagogy. The goal is to teach the students not only the content, but also the essential 21st century skills – learning to learn, creativity, critical thinking, collaborative work and use of modern technology in working environment. Thanks to those efforts the undergraduate program “Frontiers in Life Science” was recognized by receiving a UNESCO label, as well as an MCE innovation in pedagogy award. Spring International semester (iFDV semester) We are seeking students from diverse scientific backgrounds who can justify their motivation for joining a research-oriented program and can demonstrate they are independent learners. The aim is to find students who are motivated by innovation in learning and who show interest in interdisciplinary life science.
