What Will I Learn as a Biology Student? Like all Keuka College students, you are required to complete a 140-hour Field Period. From downtown Penn Yan to North Dakota, students have completed field studies in locations worldwide that provide them with the real-life experience that gives them an edge entering the job market or graduate school. From veterinary offices and schools to hospitals and humane societies, students are offered multiple options through Field Period. As a graduating student, you will have statistical awareness, a practical knowledge of biology theory, the know-how to operate scientific equipment, and analytical and problem-solving skills that will stay with you for a lifetime. Keuka College also offers a minor in biology that supplements majors from the Division of Natural Sciences, Mathematics, and Physical Education, including environmental science, biochemistry, clinical science, mathematics, and medical technology.
