BAES – BA in EUROPEAN STUDIES is a unique bachelor's degree jointly developed by eight leading European universities within the Una Europa - European University Alliance. This innovative degree program is distinctively designed with a multidisciplinary and multilinguistic approach, urging students to reflect on the role of Europe and European Integration and master research skills needed to analyze key issues related to Europe. BAES’s extensive mobility program aims not only to teach students about Europe but also to expose them to the lived experience of unique European environments and cultures.

The program is good choice for students interested in the history, civilization and culture of English speaking countries as well as the scientific investigation of the different areas - pronunciation, sentence structure, language varieties, language policy - of the English language.

The BSc in European Studies analyses regional, national, and transnational structures and developments, introducing approaches from political science, cultural studies, history, and economics.

The Latin American and Caribbean Area Studies Program (LACAS) offers an interdisciplinary approach to the study of Latin America, the Caribbean, and people of Latin American and Caribbean descent in the United States. LACAS majors examine culture and economic and social problems throughout the Americas. By choosing this central, students not only learn more about a range of cultures and societies but also about global interconnectedness.

The major in Asian and Asian American studies offers three tracks: Asian American and diaspora studies, Asia comparative, and South Asia.

Africana studies is the study of Africans and African-descended peoples. It offers a multidisciplinary approach to investigate, educate, promote, and value the contributions and experiences of Africans and African-descended peoples worldwide.

By obtaining their BA, students will possess a wide range of skills and knowledge a thorough understanding of the English language and of English-speaking peoples and cultures worldwide, a high level of competence in the English language meeting the competency requirements of both the Written and Oral parts of the Advanced Level State Proficiency Examination, familiarity with basic research- and study techniques within the field of English Studies, the ability to translate a variety of non-field-specific texts in an intelligent manner.

Study European societies, values, and institutions in a truly international, multilingual, and interdisciplinary joint program, offered in the framework of the unique university alliance of Una Europa. In this unique joint program, organized by nine research-intensive universities within the Una Europa alliance, you study the fundamental aspects and values of the European Union as well as European states and societies.

The Department of American Culture and Literature uses an interdisciplinary approach in the study of the United States, its people, and its culture.

This programme combines the study of East Asian languages with the study of East Asia-related subjects in various disciplines. Compared to the existing single-subject BA Chinese, BA Korean and BA Japanese degrees, there is less emphasis on language learning. Compared to the existing 2-degree BA Chinese/Japanese/Korean and… degrees, there is more space to study East Asia-related courses in a range of disciplines. The programme also differs from the existing offerings in that there is no year abroad included.

In that nagging program in Afrikaans (Honneurs, Masters degree and Doctor degree), human existence is undercut by that simbole, mites, metaphor and drafted what mediate human existence. This is an interdisciplinary BA Hons in African Studies consisting of five modules of which two are compulsory.

The course consists of five modules. Modules 1 (Research Essay), 2 (Grammar of the Main Language) and 3 (Literature of the Main Language) are compulsory. The student chooses two other modules from two possibilities: a) Literature: Poetry, Prose, Drama, Oral Art and b) Linguistics: Sociolinguistics, Phonology and Morphology, Syntax and Semantics, Translation Studies

Mason’s degree program is notably flexible, enabling you to focus your interests on one of three concentrations: Russian Studies, Russian Language and Culture, and Eurasia Studies.
