Bachelors in Acting in Missoula in USA. The Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in acting is a pre-professional training program rooted in a strong tradition of liberal arts education. Students who intend to pursue the BFA acting degree will enter the University as BA students in Theatre and declare an intent to pursue the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting no later than the beginning of the second semester of the four-year program. Over the course of the program, students pursuing a BFA in Acting must: Take a rigorous sequence of studio training including courses in acting, movement, film acting technique, and voice and speech. Attain a cumulative 2.5 overall GPA and a 3.0 GPA in acting coursework. After a mid-program audition at the end of the second year, be invited into the BFA program. Be cast in at least three School of Theatre & Dance productions during their four years in the program. Acting is an expressive art form in which the actor is the instrument of expression. The program is concerned with developing the student’s ability to utilize the skills and tools taught over the four years to communicate a dramatic or comedic story in the context of theatrical production and film.
