Accounting

A bachelor’s degree is a post-secondary degree awarded after completed 120 credits. It usually takes eight semesters to complete a Bachelor’s degree. While completing an undergraduate course, candidates have to study general courses and chose a major specific subject. A Bachelor’s degree can also be called a baccalaureate in certain countries.

The Bachelor of Accounting is intended to prepare students for professional practice in management accounting, financial accounting, taxation and auditing. Students will also receive education in business mathematics, management theory and business economics and law.

ACCA’s innovative partnership with Oxford Brooks University allows ACCA students to study for a BSc (Hons) in Applied Accounting, while taking their ACCA examinations.

Students will be entitled to the degree (awarded by Oxford Brooks University) on completing the first two parts of the new Professional Scheme of examinations, and then submitting a Research and Analysis Project to the University for assessment. The Project examines graduate skills, focusing particularly on the ability of students to carry out research and analysis.

Students currently registered with ACCA will also be eligible for registration with Oxford Brookes University for the BSc (Hons) in Applied Accounting, subject to transition arrangements.... [-]
