Bachelors in Accounting and Finance in Africa 2017. The Faculty of Social and Management Sciences is one of the three foundation Faculties of the University. At inception of the University, it had four (4) Departments, namely: (i) Accounting, Banking and Finance (ii) Economics and Business Administration (iii) Human Communications and Sociological Applications. (iv) Sociological Applications These Departments later evolved into six Departments in the fifth year of the University’s existence and by 2014 the number had increased to seven (7). The seven Departments of the Faculty are: (i) Accounting (ii) Banking and Finance (iii) Business Administration (iv) Economics (v) Mass Communication (vi) Political Science (vii) Sociology In the current academic session, 2014/2015, student enrolment represents about 39% of the University’s total student population. Izevbaye, while the current Dean is Professor J.A. A. Ayoade.
