The philosophy of our program is to focus on HRM from a contemporary perspective, thereby explicitly highlight the changing HRM environment. This changing HRM environment is characterized by an increasing emphasis on proactivity and multidisciplinary analysis that is propelled by key societal and organizational changes such as increased flexibility of work, changing employer-employee relationships, digitalization, and international mobility of staff.
This program focuses on various dimensions of HRM like employee development, staffing, performance, Professional Career Development, Human Resource Information System, International Human Resource Management, Business Labor Law and others. These processes subsequently linked to our courses, which will be integrated throughout the program, thereby creating a multidisciplinary approach to our HRM program. Finally, a required Internship and Graduation Project experiences allow the students to synthesize the knowledge which they acquire through an extensive organizational exposure.
This degree is designed in such a way to mold the students with a solid ground in Human Resources for managing the people, thereby to achieve positive outcomes in areas such as staff motivation, staff performance appraisal, training and development, and staff retention. This program covers contemporary theory which will help to develop practical skills. Above all this program helps to get a solid understanding of management system and to develop the skills to work as an effective manager in a local and regional environment.

I. The applicant must have a high-school certificate or an equivalent according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
ii. The applicant’s high-school certificate or the certificate of an institute after the high-school must be accepted by the program, and the GPA must not be less than 60%. Otherwise, the applicant will be enrolled in a preparatory program that includes a number of prerequisite courses assigned by the relevant college.
iii. Applicants must sit for placement tests based on the programs they apply for, as follows:
(a)In English Language, Computer Skills and Mathematics
(b) Applicants will be exempted from the placement test in the English Language if they have a valid acceptable grade in any of the following: TOEFL (550 PBT / 79 IBT), IELTS (6), FCE 60% or an equivalent.
(c) Applicants will be exempted from the placement test in Computer Skills if they have an ICDL certificate
(d) Applicants transferred from similar programs will be exempted from placement tests provided that these programs have similar teaching language to that in GU, otherwise they will sit for a placement test.
