Content and objective of the program
This programme is a combined 3-year Bachelor's and 2,5-year Master's degree. Essential to music theory majors are skills in harmony and voice leading, music analysis and instrumentation, as well as instrument studies. As a bachelor’s student, you will also study aural skills and music history.

Program Outcome
- A student who has completed a Bachelor’s degree is expected to be familiar with music theory as an academic discipline,
- to identify areas of interest for himself/herself within it, and to be able to participate in discussions in the field orally and in writing;
- have a hands-on experience to musical performance and to writing about music and to be able to use the theoretical concepts and analytical methods acquired in his/her expert duties,
- and be familiar with the basics of pedagogy in his/her field.
Career Opportunities
Graduates of the program work in demanding roles of music expert and music pedagogue, for example as teachers, journalists, researchers, and musicians.
