Would you like to study hotel management in an inspiring, international environment where innovation comes first? You can at Hotel Management School Maastricht. Here, you’ll learn from professionals, live on a student campus and hone your skills in a real hotel. Our programme starts in both September and February and welcomes lots of international students each year. Several times a year we organize (virtual) open days and personal visits to help you orientate what study and life in Maastricht are like. Furthermore, we support our international students with great scholarship and loan opportunities. Applications open from the 1st of October and close on the 1st of May, so be in quick! Varied modules
At Hotel Management School Maastricht, you’ll be trained to become a creative, innovative all-round hotel and hospitality manager and/or entrepreneur who has a hands-on mentality and a global mindset. Our students graduate with a Bachelor of Business Administration and hence our programme comprises of courses in economics, finance, accounting, business law and ethics, management, marketing, research and languages. The four-year bachelor programme consists of varied theory and practical modules and two internships. Additionally, you will choose to enrol in two minors (either inside or outside the faculty), a pre-master or an international exchange programme.
Close to the profession
You will certainly not spend all your time attending lectures. Apart from lectures from teachers and experts in the field, you will also be attending skills training courses, workshops and taking part in excursions to see the industry in practice. Teamwork plays a major role. In the workshops, you’ll be working in a group of students on practical problems or projects. Furthermore, Hotel Management School Maastricht has received a special accreditation in small and intensive education, ensuring students will receive the best and most personal education in hospitality management.
Teaching hotel in a castle
And what’s more, you’ll be exposed to the real-life environment of Teaching Hotel Château Bethlehem. This is a training environment unique in the Netherlands, including twenty-six guestrooms, a restaurant, a bar and various meeting rooms. The hotel has received a lot of attention in the international media, not least for its unconventional room designs by Dutch designers.
Student Residences
First-year students enjoy a single room in one of our brand new student residences. The campus is situated in a park-like setting and houses a tight-knit community in which students will make friends for life. Furthermore, we have hospitality assistants available 24/7 to assist students wherever needed. The campus is only a 10-minute bike ride away from the vibrant city centre of Maastricht. Maastricht is considered the heart of hospitality in the Netherlands and has a very international (student) community.

The best way to experience our hotel school and check if it is a good match is to come and visit us – you are always more than welcome to! The international Open days are fully in English and you have several options (online and on-campus) to select. Furthermore, you can partake in academic challenges to get a taster of the curriculum. Admission requirements
Make sure to apply as soon as the applications open on 1 October and apply through Studielink before the deadline of 1 May. The sooner you apply the better your chances of starting in the preferred intake (either September or February). All the best of luck!
