Program Description

The programme is only taught in German.

With the entry into force of the German Closed Substance Cycle Waste Management Act on 24.02.2012, waste management has now fundamentally changed into closed-cycle management in which waste generation and waste management are carried out with particular attention to the sparing use of natural resources and protection of people and the environment.

Start of studies

  • The programme begins each winter semester.

Programme objectives

With the entry into force of the German Closed Substance Cycle Waste Management Act on 24.02.2012, waste management has now fundamentally changed into closed-cycle management in which waste generation and waste management are carried out with particular attention to the sparing use of natural resources and protection of people and the environment. In particular, graduates will have acquired competence in the fields of waste prevention, waste utilization, and waste treatment.

Essentially this provides an integrated education programme combining a technical orientation with content from the natural sciences. These Subject areas taught:

  • laws/environmental law/waste law,
  • economics and business administration

Internships

An internship of at least 12 weeks in total is a component of the course of studies.
