Bachelor of Engineering in Information and Communication Technology

The programme includes a six-month compulsory internship with a company in Denmark or abroad. The programme starts September and February.

In the 5th semester, you choose a field of specialization according to your interests and future job plans. your specialization is defined through your choice of elective courses in the 5th semester, the host company for your internship in the 6th semester and the subject of your final project in the 7th semester.

The final project may be prepared at a company, often in co-operation with the company where you spent your internship. During the final project, you are expected to prove your ability to define an engineering problem, assess and apply the theory, scientific tools, working methods and skills you learned during the first three years of your study programme - and solve the problem!

Studies at Copenhagen University College of Engineering are characterized by projects which are based on input from companies, project groups composed of students from among more than 25 countries and a commitment to hands-on learning. The institution counts 2300 students, 400 of whom are students from abroad, and some 250 faculty members. The first impression when you enter the long flat building is the great hall and canteen area. The interesting architecture is characterized by many squares where students can both socialize and study. Around the Copenhagen University College of Engineering there are works of art, and at the institution, there is a cultural society for both students and employees. It is easy to get around the University College, also for the handicapped, because of the many lifts and wide doorways. The Copenhagen University College of Engineering offers Bachelor degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, IT Engineering and finally Export Engineering. Some of the programmes are taught completely in English. The programmes are fixed at 3½ years, including a six month-traineeship in a Danish or foreign company. Except for the programme in export engineering which takes 4½ years, also including a six month-traineeship in a Danish or foreign company. The university college offers bachelor-level post-graduate courses through the Department of Continuing Education. Finally, the university college has an admission course for those who wish to attend engineering studies. The course is an introduction to engineering aimed at those with practical experience.
