The Bachelor of Education is a four-year bachelor’s degree that prepares students for work as a teacher in schools.
A typical program may include coursework in pedagogy, educational psychology, educational policy and leadership, curriculum development, lesson planning, social justice, special education, and instructional technology. Specializations include elementary school education, middle school education, and high school education.
Elementary school education students typically study a broad range of topics while middle and high school education students focus on just one or two subjects.
Many programs incorporate training and practical experience, in the form of research projects, presentations, and OPT and CPT opportunities, with tuition starting at $24,000 USD per academic year, although partial merit scholarships are available for high performing international students based on IELTS (6.5+) and TOEFL (90+) exam scores as well as CGPA and SAT (1150+) exam scores.
