Program Description

The Secondary Program prepares teachers who will work in high schools. Students study a major and a minor teachable area to meet Saskatchewan Professional Teachers Regulatory Board certification requirements. The Faculty provides field placements in each year of the program and supports continual experimentation and innovation in Education Core Curriculum and Methods.

The following programs are offered in Secondary Education:

  • BEd Program in Secondary Education and Baccalauréat en éducation secondaire, française (120 credit hours)
  • BEd (BEAD) Program in Secondary Education and Baccalauréat en éducation secondaire, française, for graduates with approved degrees (60 credit hours)
  • BEd/BKin Joint Degrees Program (150 credit hours)
  • BEd/BSc Joint Degrees Programs (Mathematics) (150 credit hours)
  • BMusEd/BMus Program (150 credit hours)
