The computer science and technology major was established in 1994. In 2003, it was approved as a second-level discipline master's program in computer application technology. In 2007, it was rated as a specialty construction site in Henan Province. In 2008, it was approved as a provincial experimental teaching demonstration center and selected as Henan Province. The seventh batch of key disciplines was approved in 2009 by the Henan Province Innovative Science and Technology Innovation Team, and was approved by the Henan Engineering Technology Research Center for Food Information Inspection and Control. In 2010, it was selected as the sixth batch of national characteristic professional construction sites and approved for construction The Key Laboratory of Food Information Processing and Control of the Ministry of Education, was approved in 2011 for a master's degree in computer science and technology, and was selected into the second batch of "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Program" of the Ministry of Education. In 2012, it began to recruit students in some provinces, 2013 In the same year, it began to recruit doctoral students for the National Special Needs Talents Program. In the same year, it was approved as the first batch of undergraduate professional comprehensive reform pilot projects for local universities under the Ministry of Education's "Undergraduate Teaching Project".
