The Bachelor of Commerce Global (Honours) majoring in Accountancy is a unique degree offering the country’s best and brightest students the opportunity to gain a truly global study experience and real-world professional skills.

Accountancy is about providing reliable, timely and accurate information for decision makers, especially for economic decisions. Whether working for a multinational company, a government agency or in public practice, accountants play a pivotal role in advising senior management on the financial performance and direction of the organization.

This degree

You will then undertake your second year of study at three of the University of Wollongong’s global locations – PSB Academy in Singapore, CCCU in Hong Kong and UOW in Dubai. The third year and fourth, and final year of honors study will be completed at the Wollongong campus. Industry engagement is an integral component of this degree with the opportunity to undertake an internship each year for the first three years of the degree.

You will learn about financial accounting in its organizational, social and political contexts as well as study relevant law subjects (including taxation law and law of business organizations) to be eligible for associate membership of professional accounting bodies.
