The Department of Business Administration at ABU is dedicated to training highly qualified managers for the world of business. The primary aim is to equip students in terms of theory and practice, enabling them to respond to the constantly changing needs of the business world. Students will also receive the best possible knowledge about information technologies, as well as being able not only to manage personal brands but also to function in corporate culture.

The faculty members at the College of Business have attained their postgraduate degrees from leading universities throughout the world. They have extensive experience in both the international private sector and in academia. The medium of instruction is English, thus enabling our graduates to keep abreast of current trends and to follow publications in the global business climate. Students are also able to carry out administrative tasks in different cultures and nations.

In a social context, the faculty includes student organizations created by the students themselves. These organizations represent a variety of interests and the students are able to take up individual administrative roles. The faculty offers continuous support to students both academically and socially.

Program Profile

Our undergraduate degree is four years (eight semesters), the language of instruction is 100% English, and our students can take beginner-level courses on a second foreign language course from outside elective course category. In addition, students are accepted to our department through vertical transfer, equivalence, horizontal transfer. With Erasmus exchange programs and student exchange programs with foreign focus, our students can study as guest students in other education programs in other countries. The Business Administration curriculum includes general courses such as mathematics, economics, general social sciences and humanities, and information technology at the beginning of the curriculum. Our students continue to receive elective courses in the areas of strategic management and selected sub-specialization courses in the following periods after receiving common courses in subjects such as accounting, finance, human resources, marketing, supply chain, and operation management.

Application and Registration Conditions

The students are accepted with the TM-1 score determined for the Business Administration within the scope of the university entrance examination organized by OSYM every year. In accordance with the 5th article of the Regulation on the Undergraduate and Graduate Education and Training of the University, in order to make final registration, one these conditions must be fulfilled: as a result of the central placement exams organized by OSYM, the student must be placed in a diploma program of the university; the student must be successful in the special talent examination, or students’ horizontal transfer application must be accepted. For the acceptance and registration of international students, the principles determined by the Council of Higher Education and the Senate shall be applied within the framework of the provisions of the relevant legislation.
