Why international business and logistics?
Business today is global. To prepare for a career in business, you must gain knowledge, experience and competence in generic skills together with specialised expertise. This degree programme is designed to meet these requirements. In addition, course content is delivered by experts with experience of international business. Many of these instructors are native speakers of English.
Content and methodology
After instruction in fundamental business subjects, you will get the opportunity to apply these in an integrated manner, covering both strategic and operational management areas. Activities include the following: purchasing, logistics management, project management and legal aspects of a business.
You will develop ICT skills, critical thinking and rational reasoning. This encompasses generic business competencies including quality control and the incorporation of environmental and ethical factors. During your studies, there is also the opportunity for study and work abroad.
After graduation, you will get a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree. You will work in industrial, commercial or public sector organisations and your job title can be for example Purchasing Assistant, Buyer or Import/Export Coordinator. After gaining more experience in demanding expert positions you will work as a Purchasing Manager, Logistics Manager or Import/Export Manager among others.
Per each degree programme, it is agreed that 50% of the applicants coming outside EU / EEA countries, having the most successful results in the entrance examination, will receive a full exemption from the tuition fee in the first academic year.
During the 2.-4. academic years, a scholarship covering 75% of the yearly tuition fee will be granted provided that the student has accrued:
- a minimum of 55 credits (ECTS) during the previous academic year (ending on 31st July ) in a Bachelor degree programme
- a minimum of 20 credits (ECTS) during the previous semester (autumn semester ending 31.12. and spring semester ending 31.7.) in a Master degree programme
In years 2-4, the remaining 25% of a student’s tuition fee may be waived if the school determines that it is justified based on social, health, or other reasons.
