Program Description

The School of Business Administration (SBA) includes programs in accounting, business administration, finance, management, entrepreneurship, marketing, and sports management, including the online MBA. At MSU, you’ll have the opportunity to study and conduct research with top-notch faculty members who have a wealth of professional and academic experience. You’ll gain not only the knowledge but also the practical skills to enter a wide range of careers.

You are more than a number at MSU. The SBA has an average class size of 18 students. This ensures you will receive personal, one-on-one attention from faculty members who know you by name. In addition, you'll have access to the Student Services Center for help with selecting the right courses to take, finding internship and research fellowship opportunities, accessing learning resources and much more.

Marketing

Marketing professionals help companies and organizations identify potential customers, promote products and services, and coordinate marketing policies and programs. MSU’s Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing degree will equip you with the practical skills and knowledge employers seek in job candidates. With classes in consumer behavior, marketing research, e-marketing and more, you will be prepared to enter marketing positions at businesses, corporations, nonprofit organizations, and government agencies.

MSU also offers a minor in marketing, which complements a variety of degrees in other fields.

Program Requirements

All students, including transfer students from declared majors within the University and transfer students from other academic institutions, are classified as pre-business majors until admitted into the business program. Pre-business majors will be admitted to the AAB program after completion of the pre-business core course sequence and attainment of an overall cumulative GPA of at least 2.25 (on a 4.0 scale) for all courses completed at and transferred to MSU.
