Bachelor of Business (BBus) is a four-year course that offers students a sound background in all areas of business through common core subjects, in addition to in-depth knowledge in one or more chosen areas of interest. This course provides a basic understanding of important aspects of business with a choice of majors.

The first part (48 credit points) comprises the Insearch Diploma of Business. This part is equivalent to the core or the first year of the UTS Bachelor of Business.

The second part (48 credit points) comprises a choice of two majors that are delivered by UTS at Shanghai University: the Management major and the International Business major.

The third part (48 credit points) comprises non-specified elective subjects taught by Shanghai University. These electives are drawn from a range of degree-level subjects offered in English by Shanghai University.

Application and Admission

Long-term students

For the long-term students studying at SILC for one semester or longer, SILC negotiates with cooperative universities to set up admission criteria for each program. The program admission criteria vary due to different students' background and program types.

The Home Institution will be responsible for screening and selecting students for this Programme, subject to acceptance by the Host Institution. Students must be in good standing at the Home Institution, meet the academic entry requirements of the Host Institution which are applied to regular university students, and be proficient in the language of instruction (generally, English Language) at the Host Institution to qualify for nomination.

With the confirmation of both home and host institutions for the selected students, the confirmed students shall fill in the application form respectively online, and required credentials should be forwarded with the application. Notification of admission and a copy of each notice will be sent to the designated administrative office of the home institution, and administrative office of the home institution will send it to students respectively.

Short-term students

For short-term students, they can apply for the programs via online or by email. Applicants must provide all the information required and ensure that all their contact details are up to date as they will be used for all the communications about the program.

All courses offered are equivalent to introductory level university courses. They have no specific prerequisites.

All courses available to students are offered in English by SILC: Great command of the language is a must (writing AND speaking). They need to prove their English language proficiency by achieving IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL (ibt) 80 besides recommendation from their home university.

University transcripts and a letter of recommendation are required to process the application. Besides, a copy of valid passport and electronic photo are also required.
