The Bachelor of Biotechnology is a four-year bachelor’s degree program in which students learn to explore and manipulate living organisms for the purpose of inventing or improving products.
The curricula for biotechnology bachelor's degree programs include coursework in organic chemistry, cells, molecular biology, plant and animal tissues, biochemistry, genomics, and microbiology. Some programs may include specializations in fields such as food science, industrial biotechnology, or environmental biotechnology.
Many programs incorporate training and practical experience, in the form of research projects, presentations, lab work, OPT and CPT opportunities, with tuition starting at $24,000 USD per academic year, although partial merit scholarships are available for high performing international students based on IELTS (6.5+) and TOEFL (90+) exam scores as well as CGPA and SAT (1150+) exam scores.
