The Bachelor of Biochemistry is a four-year bachelor’s degree in biochemistry, a field that focuses on the scientific study of the chemistry of living systems, their fundamental chemical substances and reactions, and their chemical pathways and information transfer systems.
Coursework includes instruction in organic chemistry, protein chemistry, bioanalytical chemistry, enzymology, and others. Some colleges and universities offer specializations such as health, medical sciences, and pre-pharmacy.
Many programs incorporate training and practical experience, in the form of research projects, presentations, lab work, and OPT and CPT opportunities, with tuition starting at $24,000 USD per academic year, although partial merit scholarships are available for high performing international students based on IELTS (6.5+) and TOEFL (90+) exam scores as well as CGPA and SAT (1150+) exam scores.
