This unique specialization track is an undergraduate degree course in Economics which is entirely conducted in English. The course has been introduced with the collaboration of the international university of Applied Science in Bad Honnef, Germany where it has been successfully run for the last 10 years. The Aviation management study programme meets the need of rapidly growing airport transport market, which according to worldwide forecast will demand a huge number of professionals in upcoming decades. C.S.S.S. teachers are experts in the field with a long experience and international career in aviation industry. During the last 6-semester-study period, our students acquire general economic knowledge, as well as a wide expertise in aviation management. A graduate student from C.S.S.S. will be ready for their bright career in Aviation management. They will also explore fields such as aviation strategic management, Cargo management, airport design and development, ground service, airline Network management, air traffic control, and Aviation Law.

Objectives

The Aviation Management specialization is more practice-oriented. During the course design and development, we incorporate the best European practices in education and business cooperation. While learning various course modules, our students work on a large number of case studies that give them the opportunity to utilize their theoretical knowledge acquired during lectures. Learning in such a manner increases their ability to take critical approach to various issues, thinking creatively and using the best tools and economic indicators to solve a particular problem. What’s more, students take part in a decision-game in which they make decisions and solve problems typical for airline managers. This game, after which students receive a certificate in airport processes and operations simulation, is offered only at one university in Germany and at two universities in the UK.

Teaching Methodology

Those studying for the qualifications of the C.S.S.S. are offered a structured learning process, encompassing both the theoretical and practical aspects of the industry, integrating the various subjects, together with a clearly defined pattern of career development, through progressive grades of membership. Both faculty members, lecturers, and research fellows, as well as seconded staff, put much effort into sustaining high international teaching and research standards. The constant analysis of market demands together with highly flexible organizational structure allows us to evaluate and update our teaching and research profile not only to provide students with up-to-date, reliable and quality knowledge but also to strengthen our responsiveness to market requirements and opportunities.

  • You must have competence in the English language to study with us. The most commonly accepted evidence of English language ability is IELTS 5.5 (with minimum 5.0 in all components).

Students are eligible to apply for the grant if they have been offered a place to study on a full-time course at Castelldefels School of Social Science in Barcelona;

Merit-based Grants

Open For: Based primarily on grades, academic scholarships reward students with strong academic performance. Candidates should also describe how the academic merit and professional success has provided them with leadership potential.

Need-based Grants

Need-based scholarships are awarded based on student or student’s parents’ financial background. These need-based scholarships are designed to aid with studies when students or their guardians are not able to afford tuition and fees.

Women in Business

There’s been great progress in bridging the gap between equal rights of men and women — but we still have a way to go. The Women in Business Grant is for female applicants who have work or internship experience or have led a team in an international environment. For this scholarship, C.S.S.S. is seeking female leaders who have experience and understand today’s global working environment
