Passionate about politics? Interested in international affairs? Studying political science will give you an understanding of political ideas and processes, from local to global governments and institutions. You will also develop strong writing, research, and analytical skills, attractive traits to employers in all industries.

Our political science program was designed to give you the option to focus on world politics, through a Bachelor of Science, or on criminal justice, through a Bachelor of Arts.

A degree in political science is not just a perfect major for those looking to pursue domestic or international government service; it is also a foundation for careers in criminal justice, business, journalism and education -- and for entry into law school.

University Requirements: 56 credit hours

+ Major Requirements: 45-46 credit hours (Choice of 2 tracks)

+ Electives: 26-27 credit hours
