The goal of the Biblical Studies major is to prepare students to study the Bible efficiently and to communicate it effectively in a contemporary setting. Despite the fact that there are more Bible study resources and aids available today than ever before, biblical illiteracy still seems to be on the rise even among those who have been raised in a Christian environment. Since we affirm that the Bible is “God’s revelation of Himself to man” and “a perfect treasure of divine instruction,” we believe it is important for those who will communicate its message to do so with accuracy and truth for the benefit of the body of Christ.
